Abstrakt: This paper is aimed to evidence some relevant aspects related to the optimization of machining processes. There are studied two widely used machining procedures, that are drilling and grinding. Materials to be machined are obtained by special techniques and have special mechanical characteristics, that do need special machining conditions. The optimization is based on determining regression models for process output variables studied and on decentralized, distributed real-time control system based on the virtual projection method.
