Abstrakt: The article discusses the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics report, that showed an increase in total number of full-time employees in sheriffs' offices from 1993 to 2013, mostly attributed to the hiring of more civilian employees. Findings discussed include increase in number of full-time, female sworn officers in sheriffs' offices in 2013, increase in minority personnel among officers in sheriffs' offices from 2007-2013, and Hispanic or Latino as largest minority group in sheriffs' offices.
