Abstrakt: The genial tubercles are a group of four bony extensions bilaterally surrounding the lingual foramen on the lingual surface of the mandible. In a totally edentulous mandible, which resulted from alveolar bone resorption, a change in the location of this anatomical structure occurs in some cases and the hypertrophied musculature causes discomfort in patients who wear dentures. This paper highlights a case of hypertrophy of the genial tubercles, as diagnosed by cone beam-computed tomography. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
