The article presents a reprint of the article "Developing an efficient discus model" by Mike Maynard, which appeared in the January 2010 issue of "Long & Strong." It discusses a technical model in developing discuss throw movements in track and field based a stable vertical axis. It notes that the technical model promotes consistency of expression through repetition, faster progression of movement habituation and offers the opportunity of lower degradation of the quality of movement. |
