Abstrakt: An essay is presented on the influence of 19th century English author Lewis Carroll's books "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" on Australian writer Patrick White's 1948 novel "The Aunt's Story." Topics covered include how White's book explores the psyche by analyzing dreaming, commonalities shared by Carroll and White in terms of theme and technique, and lessons and experiences learned by the books' protagonists in their journeys into Dreamland.
