The article focuses on the Sinsheimer family of San Luis Obispo whose own archives reach back to pre-Civil War in the U.S. It offers a look at the establishment of the Sinsheimer Brothers store in 1878. Information is also presented on several members of the family, including Simcha, the first member of the family, who was born about 1650 in Sinsheim, Germany, and Aaron Z. who migrated to the U.S. in 1845. |
