Abstrakt: The study was carried out on blood plasma biochemicals in twelve Mehsana buffaloes of more than one parity. The samples were collected from the day of calving (0 day), 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 40th day postpartum in control (n=6)) and treatment (n=6)) group. In treatment group, buffaloes were treated with prostaglandin F2a injection at 5 th day postpartum. The consistent increase of total protein and total cholesterol as well as fluctuating levels of calcium and inorganic phosphorus was observed from parturition to 40th day postpartum. The treated group having no effect on alteration blood plasma biochemical profile except the significantly lower level ofcalcium at 40th day postpartum in treated than controlled buffaloes.
