Abstrakt: Nurses who provide care for patients receiving brachytherapy or unsealed radioisotope therapy need radiation safety training that is specific for the unique aspects associated with each type of treatment. This training should be repeated on at least an annual basis. The use of a hands-on approach for this training works well when supplemented with handouts, posters, and a video-tape of the training.
