The article discusses the struggle of Peruvian president Ollanta Humala in foreign policies after he has maintained their U.S. ally status. Topics covered include the continuing infrastructural and financial support of Washington to Peru, the egalitarian campaign goals of Humala in 2006 and a shift in ideology to win the presidential election in 2011 against Keiko Fujimori. Also cited are higher foreign investments and stable economic growth under Umala and his efforts for social inclusion. |
