| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study on the development of an empirical model of Mediterranean vegetation dynamics using a case study on vegetation change in Galilee mountains, Israel from 1964-1992. Types of measures such as overall vegetation composition, cell-by-cell match and pattern indices are used in comparing the actual vegetation map with the predicted map. The performance of the logistic and linear models are found to be similar despite the reduction of information. |
