Abstrakt: We report the first paediatric case of mucocele formation in a developing frontal sinus with no known associated lesions. A 10-year-old girl presented with a 12-month history of left frontal pain with no response to nasal steroid and antibiotics. CT-imaging revealed a left frontal mucocele enclosed by bone covering the sinus ostium, despite no prior history of trauma or surgery. The patient underwent image guided endoscopic sinus surgery with successful relief of symptoms. The rarity and non-specific symptoms of frontal mucoceles may result in misdiagnosis and delayed treatment, why this pathology should be considered in children with persistent frontal pain.
