| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study which reviews the dietary habitats and predation of Varanus salvator salvator, a water monitor and an endemic lizard in Sri Lanka, on introduced fish species clown knifefish. The study uses field observations by herpetologists in different regions of Sri Lanka. Study findings show the wide prey selection of the V. s. salvator and its foraging behavior to hunt fishes in the coastal areas. |
