He was born on January 1, 1933 in Austin, Texas, and graduated from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and then earned his law degree at the University of Chicago Law School. He taught at the law school, and then founded Equidex, a company that manages investments and philanthropic projects. His wife divorced due to his sexual orientation. |
