The article focuses on providing support to students of color at predominantly white institutions (PWIs) according to Cornell F. Woodson, associate director for diversity and inclusion at Cornell University. Topics discussed include homophobia and racism being faced by students at PWIs, the importance of including mentors from different races to increase diversity at PWIs, problems faced by women of color at PWIs and the need for diversity training of students before they join the university. |
