Abstrakt: The article presents profile of entrepreneur and crash researcher Hugh De Haven who completed his four year mechanical engineering program from the Cornell University and Columbia University. Topics discussed include his interest in studying independent physical forces associated with falls, invention of three-point seatbelt by De Haven and his research paper "Mechanical Analysis of Survival in Falls from Heights of Fifty to One Hundred and Fifty Feet."
