| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study which evaluates the sedative effects of sub-anesthetic intramuscular (IM) dose and an intravenous (IV) anesthetic induction dose of alfaxalone-2-hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HPCD) in cats. The cats were treated with alfaxalone-HPCD in five occasions with a minimum 14-day interval between treatments. It was observed that IM alfaxalone-HPCD produced dose-dependent and clinically relevant sedative effect at 2.5 to 10 milligram/kilogram in healthy cats. |
