Abstrakt: The article discusses the history of the French air force (armée de l'air) from World War I to the 1970s and the history of the various symbols and insignia that have been created. Images of various insignia are presented that feature elements such as storks and the Cross of Lorraine (a World War II symbol). The author mentions the air force commanders Georges Guynemer, Antonin Brocard and Xavier De Sévin and their contributions to the creation of symbols and insignia.
