| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study on plasma fluctuation in estradiol-17ß (E2) and bone resorption markers around parturition in dairy cows. Topics include the hypocalcemia and milk fever experienced by dairy cows around the time of parturiion, the use of time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay kits to measure plasma E2 concentration, and a suggestion that osteoclast-mediated bone resorption is activated after parturition when the plasma E2 concentration decreases. |
