Abstrakt: The paper presents the implementation method of the EU REGULATION NO. 548/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION FROM 21 MAY 2014 ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2009/125/CE DIRECTIVE FROM THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND COUNCIL REGARDING THE LOW, MEDIUM AND HIGH POWER TRANSFORMERS in the Electrical Energy Distribution Branch Transilvania Nord EDTN, from the technical specification revision and technical documentation preparation, to promoting and achieving upgrading works. This regulation requires a new approach in terms of ecological design requirements for the energetic performance/efficiency of the medium power transformers and high power transformers in comparison to the classical principles: medium power transformers must respect the maximum allowed level for the load and no-load losses or the established values for the maximum efficiency index (PEI) . Medium power transformers are transformers with which the MV/LV transformer substations are equipped. In the period 2015-2017 a number of 400 transformers from the transformer substations belonging to the Electrical Energy Distribution Branches from Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Bistrita, Zalau, will be replaced with ecological MV/LV transformers with low losses. These transformers have superior technical characteristics in comparison with the existing ones, fact which leads to : * The supply continuity indexes improvement, according to the performance standard for the electrical energy distribution service Order 28/2007 * CTP reduction in the transformers from the transformer substations with 40 % * Costs reduction for maintenance and exploitation [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
