Abstrakt: | The article discusses the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit case Romeike v. Holder which deals with issues concerning proper standard for claiming asylum in the U.S. due to persecution in Germany. Two main issues were presented in the case such as whether faith-based homeschoolers form a social group under the refugee law and classification of government action as persecution when asylum seekers were punished for law violation. Details related to the court decisions are discussed. |
