| Abstrakt: | Obesity-related health problems account for $100 billion in US health care costs, and higher body weights are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Yet physicians often fail to address these problems with their patients. The National Institutes of Health evidence-based guidelines for the assessment and treatment of overweight and obesity offer a clear approach for physicians to employ.
