Presents a study which compared the digestive capacity of blacklip abalone, Haliotis rubra and greenlip abalone, Haliotis laevigata. Composition of experimental diets given to the two species; Assessment of the ability of each abalone species to digest the protein and energy from various ingredients; Explanation for the low protein digestability of bull kelp by both abalone species. |
