Abstrakt: Discusses the results of a study, which investigated the breast cancer outcomes in a group of African American and white patients, who were offered the same access to mammography screening in a health maintenance organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Classifications of tumor size detected from the African American and white patients; Description of racial disparities in mode of tumor detection and size of tumor at diagnosis; Limitations of the study that were identified during medical chart review.
