Ambulatorial consultation of Brazilian nursing oncology - an integrative review.

Abstrakt: The content of the national scientific publications was analyzed quantitatively in the period 2000 to 2007, in databases BIREME, BDENF, LILACS has handled the consultation in oncology nursing review by the method of integration. Among the studies, 6 (85.7%) focused action of nursing care (education and health) and 1 (14.2%) focused in prevention of cancer. Among the types of cancer, the breast cancer is more focused in these studies (71.4%). Based on the results, 100.0% of authors make recommendations for change in clinical practice, 57.1% recommend the implementation of actions directed to the range of needs of patients and 42.8% recommend the deployment of nursing process in oncology nursing consultation. Thus, it appears that there is a need for more research in this area and great care in preparing the scientific method in order to provide quality scientific evidence with which to be implemented in our reality.
