Abstrakt: |
The article presents the statement of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) on combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The association states that the goal of the occupational therapy profession for military personnel coping with combat-related PTSD is to use techniques to help them recover. Additionally, AOTA states mentions that occupational therapists also help PTSD patients to develop strategies to self-manage the long-term effects of the condition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
