The article discusses a review of studies of combined methods of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) to determine the benefits of adopting integrative approach by massage therapists to manage low-back pain. Topics discussed include some studies revealing that integrative care is effective in treating low-back pain, effectiveness of spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) coupled with exercise therapy, and application of SMT by chiropractors and physical therapists. |
