The article discusses an overview of the Australian horticultural production sector including the fruit growing areas in the Goulburn Valley and Sunraysia district of Victoria, the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area of New South Wales, and northern region of Tasmania. It provides information on commercial and lifestyle horticulture industry output and consumption derived from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. An obituary for author and horticulturist David Aldous is also presented. |
