The article provides information on the Episodic Caregiver Support Initiative (ECSI) which aims to develop a model of caregiving that includes the needs of family/friend caregivers of people living with episodic disability in Ontario. Topics discussed include the unpredictability of episodic disabilities and the lack of empathy for people with this condition. The key recommendations of the Model for Ideal Support for Caregivers of People with Episodic Disability are also presented. |
