Abstrakt: The article discusses a study that evaluated the association of long-term use of statins on risks for lobular and ductal cancer of women from 55-74 years old. Topics covered include the comparison of invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) patients data with invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) patients as to hypercholesterolemia and their use of medications for lowering lipids. Results showed strong association of statin use on increasing IDC and ILC risks among women in the age group.
