The article discusses the conference Journées d'Histoire du droit et des institutions des Pays flamands, picards et wallons held in Tournai, Belgium, from May 10-11, 2013. The event was organized by Philippe Annaert, the vice-president of the State Archives in Saint-Hubert, Belgium, and Bernard Desmaele from the State Archives in Tournai. The conference focused on the theme of around the prison, spaces, legislation, practices and actors of imprisonment. Featured speakers included college professor Jean-Marie Cauchies. |
