| Abstrakt: | The article talks about the committee-of-the-whole structure in school board governance. Whereas in the traditional board governance structure each board member is assigned a subcommittee and each subcommittee presents updates at each meeting, in the committee-of-the-whole structure, board subcommittees are eliminated then the board meets twice each month; the first in which topics are just discussed, the second in which action items are voted upon. |
