Discrete Time Signal Phase Shifting Using TFD.

Abstrakt: This paper analyzes and presents a novel method in the field of signal processing. This method consists in improving the method of phase shifting a signal as against an initial moment. The method reduces the amount of computational effort due to the fact that it is not dependent to the sampling frequency, the number of sampling points or to the signal's harmonics. The method is based on the Discrete Fourier Transform and it is very useful in applications like synchronous detection, determining symmetrical components of polyphase current and voltage systems, phase modulation and many more. The paper also presents two applications: one for determining a signal's initial phase and another for a signal's phase shifting with a certain angle. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
