| Abstrakt: | The article investigates the genealogy of the Baumann family in Winburg, South Africa. It notes information concerning Gustav Baumann, a land surveyor who helped in the establishment of the Driefontein company before the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902. It also cites brief biographies on Alfred Baumann, a doctor who was appointed medical officer in the Bloemfontein concentration camp in May 1901, and Antonie Baumann, who became a law agent in Winburg after the Anglo-Boer War. |
