An essay is presented describing the London, England-based photographer artist cooperative called Co-optic. Topics addressed include an overview of the group from its creation in 1973 to its dismissal in 1977, the role of the group in the independent photography movement of Great Britain during the decade, and the governing aesthetics and philosophy of the participating members. |
