Abstrakt: The article discusses the applicability of a reporter's privilege under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to high school student journalists, and it mentions state press shield laws and the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the freedom of the press case Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier. A reporter's legal right to protect his or her confidential sources is examined, along with disclosure of information laws and government censorship in America.
