| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study which aims to compare the effect of carboplatin chemotherapy on the survival of dogs diagnosed with malignant melanoma following loco-regional control. An overview of the research methodology is provided wherein the canine patients were grouped based on the anatomical site of melanoma development. The importance of prospective randomized blinded studies with matched control groups in determining the role of chemotherapy in the treatment of melanoma is emphasized. |
