Abstrakt: The article presents a study which examines the association of breast cancer 1 gene (BRCA1) single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and mastitis tolerance in Vrindavani cattle. The genomic DNA was isolated from blood samples and polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique was used to genotype one of the BRCA1 SNPs. The result of the analysis indicates no significant association with mastitis susceptibility.
