The article discusses the implementation of the Cluster Promotion Programme to ensure the production and quality of bivoltine sericulture in Andhra Pradesh, India. It highlights the short fall of raw silk production driven by the actual domestic requirement in the country in nongradable quality. It examines the influence of several factors to the industry including technical innovation, support and guidance from the agency and socioeconomic conditions. |
