The article offers information on the global and regional trends toward modernization of secured transactions laws in regions such as Latin America, South Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. It informs International organizations such as the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) drafted and adopted the international conventions and treaties on secured transactions or collateral security. |
