In this article, the author criticizes mandatory data retention laws and policies for the internet service providers (ISPs) and other telecommunication providers by the Australian government. It informs that the mandatory data retention legislation violates fundamental rights to personal privacy and regarded as a threat to national security. Topics discussed include the confidentiality in the client-lawyer relationship and nomiinations for the Law Institute of Victoria Awards. |
