| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study of the mechanisms of vertical distribution and trophic role of cryptophyta flagellates in meromictic lakes such as Shira and Shunet located in Khakassia, Russia. It states that a constant deep chlorophyll maxima formed by phytoflagellates (cryptophytae algae) of the genus Cryptomonas (Cryptomonadida) was observed in lake Shunet. It adds that cryptophytic algae were abundant above the lake chemocline of lake Shira. |
