As the pumped storage capacity is a comprehensive decisionmaking problem, the entropy theory is used to establish a comprehensive evaluation system. This method can prevent the unilateralism of the single evaluation methods, and avoid the subjectivity of the other evaluation methods. It took into account the indexes of alternative coefficient of thermal capacity, coal consumption and saving amount of power system, peak-regulation proportion and loss of load probability to evaluate the various programs. A matrix was built for analysis between the indexes and programs, and an improved entropy weight was used to determine the weight vector, sorted by entropy theory to obtain the optimal solution. Through the analysis of example grid dominated by thermal power, the optimal solution was obtained, and the extended peak shaving method was used to dispatch a typical day load. Theoretical analysis and numerical results prove that the entropy algorithm is feasible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
