The article discusses research which examined the sequence accuracy of metallo-beta-lactamase. Topics covered include an assessment of the frequencies, temporal distribution and interrelatedness of misannotations among all of the three types of metallo-beta-lactamases, chains of errors that were identical or related in the phylogenetic trees generated in the study, and the shortage of accurately annotated repository of bacterial antimicrobial resistance genes. |
