The article reports that six seismologists who have been accused of presenting wrong information to the people of Italy regarding risks of earthquake have been cleared of the charges of manslaughter. The article mentions the magnitude-6.3 earthquake that hit town of L'Aquila in 2009 with 300 casualties. Public opinion on the judgment is given. Comments by the scientific community are included. |
