The article presents a profile of Professional Development Schools (PDS) programs and advocates for the benefits of experienced teachers operating as mentors within them. Topics addressed include an overview of the role and demands of teacher mentors in PDS programs, results of a study charting the experiences of mentor-teachers in a PDS program, and the various benefits experienced by mentor-teachers for their own development. |
