Abstrakt: Information on topics discussed at eighty-third meeting of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists (AAPA) in Calgary, Alberta on April 9-12, 2014 is presented. Topics discussed include a report released by AAPA's President Karen Rosenberg on the success of the journal, promotion of Peter Ellison as editor of the American Journal of Physical Anthropology (AJPA), and creation of the ad hoc Meeting Planning committee to solve complexities of meeting by the president.
