The article presents an overview of the national guideline for the management of chancroid which was written for the Clinical Effectiveness Group of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) in April 2014 and will be reviewed in 2018. Topics covered include the methodology used in writing the guideline, etiology and epidemiology and clincal features. Also discussed are the complicaitons, diagnosis, management and recommended therapeutic regimens. |
