The aim of this study is investigating body's role in musical understanding. General tendency about this topic gives body a passive role in musical understanding and gives importance to mental activities. However, last researches in this field have broken this traditional thought and the body's role in musical understanding has begun to explain. These researches showed that body is not an object or tool in musical understanding process, it is as active as mind, but mostly in a unconscious level.
