A porous material fabricated from carbon nanostructure, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) is synthesized, modified and structural characterization was done using SEM, Fe-SEM, TEM-EDXA, Raman spectra, and FTIR. Absorption capacity, thermal and chemical resistance were measured and antimicrobial activity was observed by filtering a bacterial suspension which contains E.coli through the membrane made of three-dimensional carbon nanotube matrices. The unique properties of this matrix make them an excellent candidate for filtering material and solid support for organic reactions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
