Abstrakt: In attempt to understand why men participate in study abroad at much lower rates than women, this study examines how male college students at a large research university perceive a university-run global education program, especially in terms of the expected costs and benefits of participating in such programs, and the extent to which gender schemas might influence these perceptions. Ways to more effectively recruit men to participate in study abroad are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
